We arrived in Longyearbyen - the seat of local government and Norway's administrative center of Svalbard

It has a population of about 2000 people.
The city has a color consultant who determines what color any building or house can be painted. They use the colors found in nature and want the buildings to be bright!
The primary industry is coal mining.
Arctic Reindeer roam freely throughout the town.

Sign warning of polar bears which sometimes come into town.

Children were playing around a statue of a coal miner.

The cruise is over. Time to find our luggage for flight to Oslo.
