Interior of old church. It is still used today and is typical of the over 200 Lutheran country churches found all over Iceland.
New church built in 1950's at settlement site.
12th century spa from nearby hot springs. Door opens to tunnel that leads from basement of home of Snorri Sturluson, Iceland's most revered saga writers.

Helgafel Mountain. Considered to be a sacred hill. If you climb to the top without speaking, without looking back and face east when you get to the top, you will be granted 3 wishes.
