Capital of the British Dependency of the Falkland Islands since 1842. Home to about 2000 people.

Wreckage of the Lady Elizabeth, a 19th century iron barque damaged trying to round Cape Horn.

Colonist Cottages - The wood for these 150 year old timber-framed homes had to be imported as there are no naturally grown trees here.

Jubilee Villas - Built in 1887 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee. Typical example of British terraced town house of the era but not like the rest of Stanley's architecture.
Christ Church Cathedral - most southerly Anglican cathedral in the world. Consecrated in 1892.
