After breakfast on February 4, we made a landing near the ruins
of a ship-based whaling site in Godthul Bay. We
climbed up through a steep tussock-covered slope to a series of
hills overlooking the bay. We found alot of fur seals nesting in
the thick tussock grass.
We
then enjoyed a Zodiac cruise along the cliffs and shoreline of the
bay where we spotted a flock of king penguins that had come ashore
after fishing in the bay.
